First of all, the pine trees are easy to grow, have great material quality, and have been broadly used throughout our culture. The pine trees stand for longevity and they represent the continuous developement of Chungwoon University and lifelong education.

Secondly, the solemn shape of old pine trees reflect faculty members and students of Chungwoon University living a true life with inherent building up of our character.

Thirdly, a beautiful harmony is made of branches, stems, and leaves of the trees. It symbolises our united university  family, each member having a right and responsibility for the result upon Chungwoon University.

Evergreen leaves stand for fidelity and willpower. These symbolic values complement our university mottos of "Benevolence & Righteousness, Courtege & Wisdom, and Belief & Love".

The magnolia resembles a brush in shape. In the university, the brush symbolises members of the university always researching and studying for truth. It means the happiness derived through learning and dreaming.

Magnolias face north when they bloom. It represents a great ideal and the high fidelity of our ancestors. We hope that the Chungwoon students also share these qualities to become  the new frontiers of the century.

When they bloom, they bloom together and smell deep. From a magnolia blooming, we can learn how to collaborate with others. It also stands for Chungwoon University’s determination to bring about a bright future.

A strong and courageous eagle which is the king of the birds and flies high symbolises the future-oriented ideal of Chungwoon University that wishes to keep moving forward with great ambition.
